Two Representations of Quinic Acid |
CHEM 13 NEWS, April, 2008, Number 356, pages 4-6. Quinic acid is a polyhydroxy cyclohexane derivative with an interesting stereochemical structure. It is found in many plants, including fruits, berries, and coffee beans. It has been used as the starting material for the synthesis of the antiflu drug Tamiflu. |
